Kerry Logistics and Citic Pacific’strading arm Dah Chong Hong havebeen invited by the Macau governmentto participate in the building andoperating of the former Portugueseenclave’s largest logistics centre, accordingto a South China Morning Postreport.
The report cited an unnamed sourceas saying that the facility, to be built onreclaimed land near the city’s airportand designed mainly for the logisticsinvolved in replenishing Macau’s hotelsand casinos, was scheduled to becompleted in 2009.
The government would offer theland at a low price due to its specialpurpose, the source said, adding thatthe profit margin of logistics supportservices is relatively low.
