A Thailand aircraft charter company,Airplus Express is being created underthe umbrella of Asian Aerospace ServicesLtd, a Bangkok-based companyspecialising in small aircraft, to providea variety of special services, includingshipment of high-value cargo beforemid-2007.
The airline, led by Pratheep Boonprasom,who was a major shareholderof the defunct scheduled carrier AirAndaman, seeks to provide specialair transport services for hospitals aswell.
Airplus Express has secured an operatinglicense from the Department ofCivil Aviation and plans to use a KingAir B200 turboprop for the services.
Promoted by the Board of Investment, Airplus Express is joining ahandful of Thailand’s fixed-wing aircharter service providers, includingSiam General Aviation Co and SiamLand Flying Co, in a niche but high potentialnew aviation market.
