UK-based ground handler, MenziesAviation has been awarded the LufthansaAirlines’ ramp handling contract atHouston George Bush IntercontinentalAirport.

The multi-year contract began onMarch 1, 2007. Lufthansa operates adaily flight to IAH using A340 aircraft.

Menzies’ managing director, CraigSmyth, said that the contract extendsthe company’s long-standing relationshipwith Lufthansa Airlines.

In other news, Menzies Aviation hasgained two new customers – JetBlueand BAX Global – at San Jose’s NormanY. Mineta International Airport (SJC)in California’s Silicon Valley.

JetBlue operates out of JFK in NewYork and has fourteen flights each weekto San Jose, California using A320s.BAX Global operates five freighters aweek through its airlift operator, AirTransport International
