Skycooler, the cool container leasingcompany, said that it has signed contractswith Hong Kong based GroundSupport Engineering Limited (GSEL)and Airbase (Canada) to provide repairservices for its SKYcooler temperaturecontrolled cool containers.
Skycooler CEO Graham Walters said:“Our partnership with these companiesis an important step in increasing ourglobal repair network, ensuring thatour SKYcooler units can be quicklyreturned to service if damaged. Thesestations, together with others in thenetwork, will also maintain and calibrateSKYcooler’s built-in temperaturecontrol & logging device.”
“The custom-built temperaturecontrol & logging device has beenfuture-proofed with the inclusion ofa USB socket, which allows the repairstations to install software upgrades,quickly and cost effectively.”
Skycooler offers airlines the opportunityto lease its SKYcooler RKN[LD3] and RAP [LD9] dry-ice activecontainers for lease periods of 6months upwards.
The launch of Skycooler providesairlines with a greater choice of optionsin transporting temperature sensitivecargoes, adding medium and long-termleasing to the current short-term leaseand ownership possibilities currentlyavailable.
