“Continental Cargo has been successfully using JDA’s CRO revenue management solution since 1999,” said Ed O’Meara, director – cargo revenue management for Continental Airlines Cargo. “Last year JDA offered to conduct a pilot study of their newest CRO upgrade, Version 7.2, at Continental to evaluate its impact on revenue. During the pilot, Version 7.2 delivered an impressive improvement in demand forecasting results.”
Continental Airlines Cargo is implementing JDA’s new CRO version in three phases, with fi nal rollout scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
The JDA aviation and cargo solution strategy team customised its system to let Continental Cargo evaluate demand for shipping legs, or routes, based on volume and weight and create dynamic entry conditions that a client must meet before Continental Cargo accepts the business.
