Beijing has unveiled plans to build a number of new logistics facilities, including plans for a fourth mega logistics centre to be located in the eastern part of the city, Logistics Week reported.

The fourth mega logistics centre, which will be linked by expressway to Beijing airport and the port of Tianjin, is scheduled to commence operations this year.

In addition, Beijing also aims to build 10 smaller logistics facilities off the city’s trunk highways and 20 in the suburbs, the report added.
