US-based Precision Conversions, LLC (Precision) said that Corporación Ygnus Air, S.A. (Cygnus Air – Spain) has exercised one option for an additional 757-200PCF freighter conversion. The aircraft is expected to commence modifi cation in August of 2007. Details of the specifi c aircraft to be converted; including a redelivery date will be made available this month. Cygnus Air is currently operating one Precision Conversions 757-200PCF.
Gary Warner, Precision Conversions’ vice president of corporate development said: “We are pleased that the fi rst 757-200PCF is operating smoothly for Cygnus Air and that they have decided to exercise their option for an additional conversion so quickly after receiving the fi rst freighter.”
Cygnus Air provides scheduled cargo services to Iberia Airlines with three DC-8s and one 757-200PCF. Precision Conversions currently has three B757-200 aircraft undergoing modifi cation at the Flightstar Aircraft Services facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
