PT Birotika Semesta/DHL Express has concluded a partnership programme with the University of Indonesia (UI) to provide a curriculum for the undergraduates of the Industrial Engineering Faculty.
The course “DHL Express and Logistics Class” aims to enhance student knowledge of the express and logistics industry from both a domestic as well as an international perspective.
Through the course, students will learn about export- import processes and fl ows, network infrastructure, security in express and logistic industry (TAPA), customised delivery solutions,
ROAM (route optimization and management), WOAM (warehouse optimization and management), facilities (hub, gateway, service centre, QCC), as well as policies and regulations relating to imports and exports.
“Through the course our students will have better understanding of the express and logistics business. It will also prepare our students to meet the challenges of being part of the global business community,” said Boy Nurtjahyo, UI’s head of Department of Engineering, University of Indonesia. – Siktus Harson
