NWA Cargo has named Tim Strauss vice president – Asia & Europe. Strauss is responsible for sales, operations, and space control activities for NWA Cargo in Asia and Europe, reporting to Jim Friedel, president of NWA Cargo and senior vice president-Pacifi c. In addition, Strauss retains global responsibility for postal affairs.

Strauss joined NWA Cargo in 2001 as vice president for global operations. Prior to joining NWA Cargo, Strauss held key management positions of increasing responsibility at Menlo Logistics from 1989 to 2000.

Meanwhile, Marie Epstein will continue in her role as director – strategic customers at NWA Cargo, but will now report directly to Friedel. In addition, Epstein will have expanded responsibility for strategic customers in Asia. Epstein joined Northwest in 1997, but has served the cargo industry for 23 years, in positions at American, Pan Am, and at several freight forwarders.
