CargoWise edi, a provider of global forwarding and brokerage software, said that IJS Global Inc., the rapidly growing air and ocean freight forwarder, customs broker and non-vessel operating common carrier, will install CargoWise edi’s ediEnterprise software solution across it’s worldwide network. The agreement is the largest and most comprehensive in CargoWise edi’s history.
Through ediEnterprise, IJS Global will, for the first time, be able to link its expanding logistics infrastructure through a single operating system, rather than using multiple systems that function on a country-by-country basis. ediEnterprise will be operational throughout the IJS Global network by year-end. “Global freight forwarding is changing so rapidly that traditional software delivery mechanisms cannot keep up.
Our global clients are continually driving process efficiencies through their networks whilst meeting demands for increased service levels and service quality. Doing that without adding costs requires an equally adaptive applications environment and that’s what we’ve provided” said Richard White, CEO, CargoWise edi. “This is a milestone for our company. We have said goodbye to legacy software,” said Giorgio Laccona, chairman and CEO, IJS Global.
“We have developed a rapid response network model that delivers advance global transparency to our clients, continuing improvements in our levels of service, in terms of speed, accuracy and efficiency which is a real competitive advantage for our clients.”
