Kuehne+Nagel said it is rapidly developing its contract logistics business in the Asia-Pacific region, with plans including expanded warehousing space and selected local acquisitions. Since rolling out its Asia-Pacific expansion plan in 2005, Kuehne+Nagel’s logistics activities have strengthened considerable, with a series of significant business wins and the opening of new facilities.
At present, the company’s contract logistics network in Asia-Pacific comprises 43 locations in thirteen countries with a managed warehouse space of 200,000 m². By the end of 2007, K+N’s total warehouse space will increase to 300,000 m² at more than 60 locations.
The company also envisages organic growth well above the market average and selected local acquisitions.
