TNT Express has appointed Sameer Khan as its first IT and telecommunications major account manager.

Indian national Khan joins TNT with over five years of regional industry experience where he was managing global high-tech and automotive accounts. Separately, TNT Express named Andrew Watson national operations manager in Bahrain.

British born Watson, (34), joins TNT with 15 years international industry experience, a third of which was gained holding similar positions in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

In another appointment, TNT Express Malaysia named Christopher Bain as general manager, Northern region. Bain, who will be based in TNT’s Penang office, will be responsible for the research and development of strategic business growth opportunities in North Malaysia.

He brings with him over 24 years of corporate and business development experience from multinational companies across Malaysia, Philippines and the United States. His last position was with Transmile Group Berhad, where he served as country manager for its offices in the Philippines and the US.
