The International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (ICCS) said it achieved 45 percent increase in tonnage growth in 2006 compared with 2005.

The company added that in the fi rst quarter of 2007, ICCS achieved a continued tonnage growth compared with 2006, reaching an increase of 70 percent. Established in September 2004, ICCS which is offi cially registered as Shenzhen Airport International Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd (SACTL), is a 50:50 joint venture between Shenzhen Airport Co., Ltd. (SACL) and Lufthansa Cargo AG (LCAG).

In a statement, ICCS also said that in order to better serve its customers, it recently upgraded its Hermes IT-system for its ground handling services from the original version 2, which was installed in May 2005, to the advanced Version 3, making ICCS the fi rst user worldwide to operate the Version 3 system.
