Citing “demand growth and market recovery” in the Asian region, Aeroflot-Cargo is adding new services and expanding existing ones, including a new Hong Kong – Mumbai service which will be a part of rotation Hahn – Moscow – Hong Kong – Mumbai – Moscow – Hahn. Aeroflot-Cargo is now holding traffic rights for every segment on this route and the flights will be operated with its MD-11F.
Aeroflot-Cargo said the introduction of main deck capacity was due to the suspension of regular passenger flights on the route. “New flights are now meeting demands of our regional customers with a regular traffic on this route,” the Russian cargo carrier said in a statement.
From 4 April Aeroflot-Cargo has also resumed freighter flights to Beijing with a twice weekly service using MD11F aircraft, the first time it has used this aircraft type into Beijing. And from 8 April the cargo carrier added a third weekly flight to Shanghai. The planned route is Hahn- Shanghai-Novosibirsk-Hahn.
Aeroflot-Cargo is also launching a new Frankfurt/Hahn – Saint-Petersburg service, which the carrier says will allow customers to reduce the delivery time from Germany to Saint-Petersburg and the North West region of Russia.
