Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s first premium full service airline is considering Indian operations by 2011, likely to South Indian market first and later to Mumbai or Delhi. The privately-held airline is currently flying short-haul destinations within the Gulf and wider Middle East region and is planning to start long-haul operations in its second phase expansion.
The airline is awaiting delivery of more A320 aircraft to expand its operations. During its launch earlier this year the carrier indicated it was keen on starting services to destinations like London, Frankfurt, Paris, Manila and Bangkok.
