With the new Cambodian extension, TNT has added more than 1,500 km to the existing 6,000 km ARN running from its integrated road/air hub in Singapore to Thailand and though to China where TNT bases freighter operations out of Shanghai Pudong.
“Airfreight is restricted by the limited number of airlines operating into and out of Cambodia, and consequently by the limited cargo-hold space available. Furthermore, Cambodia’s congested international sea port means limited sailings,†TNT said in a statement.
Launched at the end of 2005, TNT’s Asia Road Network operates in 127 cities across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and China.
