Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced today its tonnage throughput for September 2009 was 47,182 tonnes, down 12 per cent compared with the same month last year. Export cargo registered 32,967 tonnes, a decline by 11 per cent against same period last year. Import cargo volume for September was 13,887 tonnes, recording a decrease of 14 per cent from last year. Transhipment cargo volume was 329 tonnes; representing a year-on-year growth of 8 per cent. The cumulative tonnage throughput from January to September 2009 was 351,725 tonnes, representing a year-on-year decrease of 24.5 per cent.
