Turnover at the airport ground-handling and catering company grew 45.4 per cent to S$362.3 million, despite a 10 per cent drop in aviation revenue. A key factor in the firm’s robust results was the contribution from Singapore Food Industries (SFI), a food manufacturer and supplier that Sats took over earlier this year.
For the half-year, profits were up 21.5 per cent to S$81.3 million compared with the same six months a year ago, while revenue rose 44.8 per cent to S$714 million. SATS’ airport-related business, including its handling of Singapore Airlines flights, accounted for 60 per cent of total turnover.
