DHL Express announced it is moving its headquarters from Brussels, Belgium to Germany and follows the earlier shift of operations away from Brussels airport to the new DHL hub at Leipzig/Halle airport in East Germany.

Hinting at the cost savings, DHL said: “At this time the business must leverage its capabilities by consolidating some of its core functions in order to benefit from close cooperation with other DHL business units.” In addition DHL Express is moving its IT services data centre to Prague. The move will be phased in over two years.
