Malaysia-based Transmile Group has reduced its pre-tax loss in the third quarter ended 30 September to RM14.8 million (US$4.4 million) from RM26.3 million in the corresponding quarter of last year. Its revenue fell to RM30.5 million from RM68.1 million mainly due to lower charter revenue off-set by higher general freight sales generated from flights to East Malaysia.
For the first nine months, its pre-tax loss dropped to RM57.6 million from RM94.9 million in the corresponding period last year as revenue fell to RM104.6 million from RM237.1 million.
