French logistics provider Geodis has acquired small parcel express carrier Ciblex. The move expands the range of services Geodis provides through a company that has grown with the explosion of e-commerce. Geodis said the acquisition would develop its technical expertise specific to parcel processing and improve its value-added services offering in the sectors of ecommerce, healthcare, optical, high tech and spare parts.

With the addition of Ciblex’ 18 depots in France, two in Belgium and one in the Netherlands, the move also complements the Geodis network in the Benelux countries.
