Jettainer has passed its first environmental audit and has been certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management standards. The ULD specialist has provided evidence of the environmental awareness of its employees during everyday business operations and has also proven that the development of environmentally sustainable technologies and therefore the use of innovative products are a high priority at Jettainer.
“It’s extremely important for us to meet the needs of our customers at all times – and not just in the operating sense, but also with regard to supporting the corporate philosophy in each case; this normally includes continual improvements to the environmental balance nowadays,” says Carsten Hernig, managing director of Jettainer GmbH.
“Cooperation in the field of the environment is absolutely necessary in the market place nowadays,” Martin Kraemer, head of marketing & PR, adds; he is also the environment officer at Jettainer. The aim at Jettainer is to improve the environmental performance of airlines by saving natural resources and therefore reducing the risks to the environment in the long term. “I’m certain that we’ll be able to present further progress and new innovations – particularly in the field of further developing lightweight containers and pallets – by the next audit.”
Certification according to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 standard initially applies for a period of three years and covers the company’s global processes.
