DHL Express Philippines is investing close to P150 million (US$3.38 million) this year, bulk of which will be spent for opening the new services facilities in Clark, Las Piñas and at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
DHL Express Philippines country manager Nurhayati Abdullah said, “The Philippine market holds great potential for us and we are always on the lookout to further expand our footprint in the country, such as with the investment in this Clark Service Center facility.”
The company had invested PHP30 million in a new DHL Express Service Center in Clark, which opened in late February.
“Clark represents about 15 percent of our total volume in the Philippines, which is quite significant. Clark is growing a double digit as well and we expect it to grow even more because there’s a lot of factories in Clark that are expanding and it will also supports the SMEs in the North Luzon are,” said Abdullah.
DHL Express will also spend PHP78 million for its new facility in Las Pinas and PHP42 million to upgrade its facility at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Las Piñas facility will be operational this year to serve Cavite-based manufacturers.
DHL Express Philippines currently has eight service center facilities and 195 service points nationwide.
