DHL Global Forwarding has appointed David Cels as country manager, Papua New Guinea. He is returning to DHL after one year as a logistics consultant in the industrial projects sector. In his new role, Cels will be based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and will report directly to Tony Boll, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding South Pacific.

Cels will lead an experienced team with a primary focus on expanding the customer base and supporting existing customers. With his origins in New Zealand, Cels holds a close relationship with the South Pacific, having been in senior leadership positions in freight management and industrial projects in various countries throughout the region. Most recently, Cels was working as a logistics consultant in the industrial projects sector. Prior to this he was with DHL Global Forwarding for seven years as the regional operations director for Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa based in Singapore.
