Allport Cargo Services has hired Martin Brown and Sean Smith to strengthen the senior management team of its Airfreight Division, following the decision of David Ward to retire in June. Ward will step down as airfreight operations director following 42 years with the company.
Brown will become airfreight operations director upon Ward’s retirement. He joins ACS Airfreight following eight years with DHL Global Forwarding, where he was vice president marketing and sales for Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
Smith leaves Kerry Logistics, where he was head of the Southern division, to become business development director at ACS Airfreight.
Steve Williams, executive director at Allport Cargo Services’ Airfreight Division, said: “Martin and Sean are welcome additions to the team and I am looking forward to working alongside them both as we take Allport forward to the next level. I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank David Ward for his substantial contribution to the business and wish him well for his retirement.”
