Bangkok Airways doubled its earnings in the first quarter of the year. It posted a net profit of 1.08 billion baht (approx. US$32.35 million) compared with 514 million baht in the same period last year.
It saw its revenue rise by 10.6 per cent to 6.73 billion baht as it carried 10.9 per cent more passengers at 1.43 million on 6.65 per cent growth in seat capacity after adding two aircraft to take its fleet to 29.
Its load factor edged up to 71.9 per cent from 69.3 per cent in the previous quarter.
