Cargolux Airlines has begun a twice-weekly Trans-Pacific service between the two cities in April, operated by the airlines 747-8 freighters. At the Air Cargo Europe event in Munich, Cargolux announced that loads on the first couple of flights have been better than anticipated.

“This new Trans-Pacific service from Zhengzhou is a milestone in the development of our Chinese operations and the cooperation with our partner HNCA,” says Dirk Reich, Cargolux president and CEO. “We are proud that our partnership is moving ahead so swiftly and successfully. In China, Cargolux offers road feeder services to 20 Chinese cities, linking Zhengzhou with major industrial and business centres. It also operates seven weekly frequencies between Luxembourg and Zhengzhou.
