Digging through their photo archive, the Belly Achers came across these photos from the recent Air Cargo Europe event in Munich – you know, the place where beer is almost the same price as bottled water but tastes 1,000 times better! And it has a tonne more vitamins and minerals than water too.
And just by chance the Belly Achers, while on a night off from the hectic pace of the event, stumbled into (well actually we walked into… and stumbled on the way out – but more on the reason for that in a minute) the gang from Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd (Hactl) and their PR team who were all knee deep in their pork knuckles, sausages and of course, beer at the famous Hofbräuhaus. They were also clearly getting into the spirit of the place with the team suitably decked out in their faux dirndls and lederhosen!
The chance encounter turned out to be quite a serendipitous one, although our heads were slightly fuzzy the next morning. You see, everything was going well until, someone amongst us, sent things off in a awry direction.
We learned a very important lesson that night – never say “bottoms up!” (even in jest) to a Hactl woman when you’ve got a German beer stein in your hand! But hey, we defer to her awesomeness – she downed it like a champion leaving the foolish Belly Acher in her dust! We call for a rematch! Burrrrrp.
Who says the cargo industry doesn’t innovate enough?
