SkyTeam Cargo has launched an upgraded version of its online Track and Trace tool to enable customers to track their shipments at every step of the way across the alliance’s network of 850 destinations. Customers desiring to check the status of their freight with any of SkyTeam Cargo’s 12 members can use Track and Trace by entering their airway bill number (AWB) on the skyteamcargo.com homepage.
The Track and Trace tool has been enhanced thanks to SkyLink, SkyTeam’s centralised IT system which serves as a common operating platform for all SkyTeam airlines, both for cargo and passenger operations, eliminating the need to create ad-hoc IT links between members.
“Our customers expect efficient, prompt handling of freight and whether it’s pharmaceuticals to Sao Paolo or flowers to Moscow, Track and Trace helps us deliver a seamless, efficient service, by keeping them updated in real-time around the clock,” said Eric Hartmann, VP SkyTeam Cargo.
“By enabling members’ individual IT systems to communicate, SkyLink is facilitating freight forwarding for our customers throughout 175 countries.” The tool can be used by customers of all 12 SkyTeam Cargo members: Aeroflot, Aerolineas Cargo, AeroMéxico Cargo, Air France Cargo, Alitalia Cargo, China Airlines, China Cargo Airlines, China Southern Cargo, Czech Airlines Cargo, Delta Cargo, KLM Cargo and Korean Air Cargo.
