China Southern Airlines will launch a new three times weekly service connecting Shenzhen with Sydney early next year using A330 aircraft. Commencing from 20 January 2016, the new service will mark the first direct link between the two cities, and China Southern’s second long-haul service from Shenzhen’s Baoan International Airport, following an existing route to Mauritius.
In addition, the Chinese carrier will increase the frequency of its flights from Guangzhou to Melbourne and Sydney from 5 December 2015 with four more weekly flights on the Melbourne route and a third daily service will be added to the Sydney route from 10 December.
