Th e magazine’s annual awardees are selected by an international panel of cargo expert judges based on criteria such as operational performance, cargo growth, development strategy, customer service, product innovation, and competitive costs and services.

In the fi rst nine months of this year, HKIA handled 51.2 million passenger trips, 3.2 million tonnes of cargo and 301,790 flight movements, representing growth of 8.4 per cent, 0.2 per cent and 4 per cent, respectively, over the same period last year.

On a rolling 12-month basis, passenger volume and cargo throughput grew by 8 per cent and 1.3 per cent to 67.3 million and 4.4 million tonnes, respectively. Flight movement climbed by 4.2 per cent from the previous year to 402,635.”
