What is the significance of this award to your company?
“We are honoured to be voted by our industry peers, partners and customers as the Combination Carrier of the Year. Turkish Airlines has had numerous accomplishments over the past year toward expanding our network and making cargo operations seamless, and we’re so pleased to see these eff orts recognised by Payload Asia and the air cargo industry.

What do you see as the key factors contributing to your win?
“Turkish Cargo provides the most efficient connections across the globe by its nine freighters and 281 passenger aircraft flying to 280 destinations in 110 countries. In addition to the growth of our cargo network capacity, we are significantly revising our infrastructural and procedural processes. Our new Turkish Cargo facility which became operational from 1 January 2015 is state-of-art, providing the latest technology in handling and transferring of cargo with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tonnes. Parallel to our continuous growth and development, we have also modernised our process management of cargo operations. All these are key factors to winning this award.”
How does the award amplify your unique value proposition?
“Th is award may be bestowed by Payload Asia, but the recognition comes directly from our customers who took the time to vote and express their satisfaction with our service. Th is says a lot about the high standards of our company and our employees. In a world full of promises, we can proudly say that we deliver on the ones we make and our customers have recognised us for it.”
What is the value of industry awards such as these?
“Winning an award such as this one highlights our outstanding service and capabilities, as well as the efforts of our team. Hard work is its own reward, but it is also great to receive third party recognition. Th is motivates us to strive harder and continue to excel in the air cargo industry.
