The rapidly expanding low cost carrier, Vietjet, today launched its newest daily international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur. Vietjet currently operates 50 domestic and international routes.
Currently, the airline boasts a fleet of 36 aircraft, including A320s and A321s and operates 250 flights each day. It has already opened 50 routes in Vietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Myanmar.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to expand its network across the region. To prepare for this, Vietjet has signed agreements with the world’s leading aircraft-manufacturers to purchase more brand-new, modern aircraft. Currently on order are more than 280 aircraft including B737 MAX 200s (100 aircraft), A320/1 neo family (140 aircraft) along with orders for five A319-100s and 39 A320-200s.
