LOT Polish Airlines had announced its strategy for the new non-stop service between Warsaw to Singapore, with direct flights launched starting 15 May 2018. The new route will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner first three and then four times a week.
The pre-launched event was organized in Singapore together with the Embassy of Poland in Singapore and Polish Tourism Organization, with Mr. Calvin Phua, Deputy Secretary of Singapore Ministry of Transport as Guest of Honour.
“We keep our word and continue expanding our network of Asian connections, opening our first route to Southeast Asia, one of the most-developed business centres in the world and a travel mecca for many tourists. Nearly three million passengers travel between Singapore and Europe each year. We are positive that our offer will respond to passengers’ needs– with the schedule we proposed and the modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners making it the most comfortable travel between Singapore, Poland and the Central, Eastern and Western Europe,” said Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.
Ambassador of Poland to Singapore Mr Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz added: “The long awaited connection is a significant addition to connectivity between Poland and Singapore. It will not only boost tourist traffic and people-to-people ties, but also, very importantly, enable further growth of our business cooperation and bilateral trade. With Poland’s growing importance as a logistics and transportation hub in Europe and Singapore’s prominent position as regional trade centre for South East Asia, the new direct connection will conveniently link also our respective regions, thus creating many opportunities for Polish and Singaporean businesses to cooperate not in only each other’s domestic markets but also on the regional scale”.
Mr Robert Andrzejczyk, President of the Polish Tourism Organisation noted: “Poland becomes attractive as a holiday destination amongst the Singaporean tourists. Poland’s natural environment, modern infrastructure and improving access to culture as well as national heritage of exceptional value make our country such a unique place. Our plan for the next year is to increase promotional efforts and by this double the number of Singaporean and Malaysian tourists to Poland”.
LOT Dreamliners will be operating directly from Warsaw to Singapore according to the following schedule:
- LO-67 WAW 23:00 – 17:15+1 SIN Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (plus Monday effective July 2018)
