Antonov AN-225 Mriya, the world’s largest aircraft, landed safely in Dammam airport at the weekend transporting 223 pallets of chemical drums for Crane Worldwide Logistics.
Given the lack of ocean vessels available, the Antonov AN-225 was the perfect choice to transport the high volume client request in a timely manner. With a keen sense of urgency, the Crane Worldwide team co-ordinated cargo from multiple vendors in both Singapore and Malaysia in order to maximize the load potential of the aircraft.
Present in Malaysia for almost 10 years, Crane Worldwide Logistics has developed significant experience managing complex moves for clients throughout the Asia Pacific region. End-to-End integrated supply chain services from freight movement to warehousing, project management, heavy lift, husbandry and marine crew services are all key components of the Crane Worldwide Logistics® solutions offering across a number of industries.
Daniel Cheah, Country Manager Malaysia at Crane Worldwide Logistics® was present throughout, monitoring and surveying the shipment loading, ‘We handle heavy cargo on a day-to-day basis, always looking for the most cost effective and time efficient solution to present to our clients. In this case, the Antonov AN-225 presented the perfect solution and it was a great moment to see this magnificent aircraft land once again in Kuala Lumpur’.
