BluJay Solutions, a leading provider of supply chain software and services, revealed that Flyjac Logistics has deployed BluJay’s Transportation Management for Forwarders platform (TMFF) to improve operational efficiencies and customer service, a press release confirmed.
Part of Hitachi Transport System Group in Japan, Flyjac has more than 5,000 customers and manages more than 15,000 shipments per month on average.
The integrated logistics provider intends to increase operational efficiencies by automation and integration, increasing data consolidation and, most importantly, improving visibility and real-time information sharing with customers and overseas partners.
“With BluJay’s Transportation Management platform, we can standardize the process and provide real-time, end-to-end visibility to our customers and improve operational efficiencies. Our ability to integrate with other systems is a key factor for adding value to the customers,” said A.V. Ravikumar, managing director at Flyjac Logistics.
“For our customers, the benefits are significant. They can now have complete visibility and track the movement of their goods in real-time. Once the data gets populated into the system, we’ll also start route planning consolidations. From the request for quote right through to proof of delivery, we can provide our customers with transparency across the entire process,” said R. Kumaran, head of supply chain solutions and IT at Flyjac Logistics.
“Upgrading to this new platform provides more scalability and configurability in terms of workflow processes. It also allows us more flexibility from a finance point of view as we’ve moved from a CAPEX to OPEX model,” said Kumaran. “With efficiencies created by BluJay’s platform, Flyjac will be able to manage more than 25,000 shipments per month, helping to grow business.”
Flyjac has gone live with Transportation Management for Forwarders and customer visibility with track and trace, which has been seamlessly integrated with SAP and CM-IN customs. The project was fully executed remotely online, launching across 29 offices across India and UAE, with over 250 business users.
The company has plans to launch a mobility platform in the near future and is also exploring other innovative technologies such as AI and robotics.
