LATAM Cargo Brazil teamed up with nonprofit Ampara Animal to support the efforts of volunteers and veterinarians in their wildlife rescue campaign.
Through its solidary plane programme, LATAM donated 30 airline tickets to volunteers and veterinarians to support their rescue and treatment efforts for animals affected by the forest wildfires in Brazil’s Pantanal.
The campaign named “Pantamal em Chamas” stands for “blazing wetlands.”
Launched on 1 September, the initiative aims to continue the animal rescue work in Brazil’s Pantanal Mato-Grossense National Park, which has been experiencing the worst wildfires and drought in years.
LATAM reaffirmed its commitment to social causes by agreeing to transport supplies for Ampara Animal free of charge and on demand.
