AirBridgeCargo Airlines successfully delivered CanSinoBIO‘s Covid-19 vaccine candidate in partnership with UPS/Marken. This marked its first completed vaccine transportation from Beijing (China) to an unmentioned destination as part of clinical trials in various countries across the globe.

The carrier’s Boeing 747 freighter carried a total of 6,000 doses of the Ad5-nCoV vaccine, weighing almost 400 kilograms, packed into a CRЗDO™ XTREME a passive container, stacked and loaded into a standard AKE container and delivered under 2°C to 8°C.
“After months of preparations, we are actually stepping into the COVID-19 vaccine transportation phase to deliver these sophisticated pharmaceutical products the whole world relies on as a source which will help all of us to get back to normal,” said Casper Pan, vaccine task force lead and APAC head of healthcare for Volga-Dnepr Group.
Yulia Celetaria, healthcare director of Volga-Dnepr Group, thanked UPS for ensuring vaccine efficacy was fully maintained throughout the journey. “We hope for further cooperation through our joint shipments, workshops and follow-up online meetings,” she added.
