DHL Global Forwarding, the leading international provider of air, sea and road freight services, has announced two appointments to its Asia Pacific management board, effective 1 January 2021.
Niki Frank, CEO of the freight division in India, will expand his coverage and oversee the entire subregion of South Asia, including India and Pakistan led by managing director Umair Alam, as well as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka managed by Fabian Rybka.
Meanwhile, Yvonne Lee, head of strategic projects for ASEAN and South Asia and head of business processes and organisation in Thailand, will become managing director in the Philippines. Both will report directly to Kelvin Leung, CEO of the freight division in Asia Pacific.
Prior to his current role, Frank spent seven years leading global transformation initiatives for Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL Group) and DHL Global Forwarding.
Lee began her career with DPDHL Group as a management trainee, before moving on to other roles, including operations effectiveness, project management, performance measurement and customer implementation.
“One of my key priorities is to drive an even more customer-centric approach in response to the evolving needs of local businesses, as we ramp up our digitalization efforts to provide customers with a better shipping experience,” Lee expressed.
In Singapore’s first vaccine shipment last December, DHL Global Forwarding handled the first mile from the manufacturing site in Puurs, Belgium and the last mile to a designated location in the city-state.
