The Saudi Logistics Company (SAL), the logistics arm of Saudi Arabian Airlines, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with King Abdullah Economic City, an economic zone 100 kilometres north of Jeddah, to strengthen the logistics sector in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership will focus on enhancing logistics services and creating economic opportunities in conjunction with the nation’s 2030 vision to become a global logistic hub.
Commenting on the event, SAL CEO Omar Hariri emphasised the importance of this strategic partnership and its role to enhance the cargo ground handling services from and to KAEC. He added that SAL would utilise all its logistics capabilities to take advantage of the competitive benefits of what the Industrial Valley at KAEC has to offer.
The company describes the Industrial Valley at KAEC as an attractive destination for the world’s food and pharmaceutical firms with its quality logistics and integrated infrastructure services. It is connected with King Abdullah Port and the International Flight Network, SAL noted.
