MRO services provider HAECO has completed its first A330F ‘C’ check for Air Hong Kong.
A ‘C’ check is a high-level inspection of specified areas, components and systems, as well as operational or functional checks. It normally removes the airplane from the revenue schedule for 3 to 5 days, Payload Asia learned.
The aircraft is one of five A330s that Air Hong Kong has, which it operates for DHL Express. The Cathay subsidiary also has nine A300-600Fs.

HAECO started providing light maintenance services for the Hong Kong airline back in 2004 and now offers other services for Air Hong Kong, including comprehensive technical assistance, certificate of release to service and aircraft on ground support. The MRO holds approvals from authorities around the world for major and commercial aircraft types.
“This redelivery marks another significant milestone in the relationship between the two companies and reaffirms HAECO Hong Kong as the leading maintenance service provider for customers based in Hong Kong,” the company said in a statement.
