Hong Kong-based neutral air cargo solutions group Aero Africa announced the launch of its digital airfreight rate platform in cooperation with Dubai-based provider HashMove.
The ‘new airfreight gateway and consolidation portal’ will be available exclusively to freight forwarders and transport-related companies and will provide real-time information on air freight wholesale rates, consolidation schedules, and digital cargo bookings.
Abdur Rehman, co-founder of HashMove, said the consolidation platform will allow freight forwarders to get ‘exclusive and instant access’ to millions of air cargo rates into Africa. It will cover major global hubs to 84 airports in the continent, starting in Southern Africa in June.
“Making a consolidation platform for air cargo is not an easy task but thanks to the in-depth understanding of building a logistics platform by our team, we have done it in record time,” said Rehman

Jade Da Costa, CCO of Aero Africa said this will be the first of many initiatives the group is planning planning to release this year, to bring enhanced value to the African logistics community.
“The platform has been built tailored to the needs of the African logistics market, taken into consideration every small detail of the air freight procurement and consolidation management model at each gateway and African destination,” added Da Costa.
“The HashMove Engineering team has worked very hard on the complete digital transformation of the Aero Africa network and its operations,” noted Rehman.
“We are happy to be part of this unique collaboration between HashMove and Aero Africa, and are very excited for the launch of this platform in summer 2021.”
