Bulgarian cargo operator Compass Cargo Airlines has taken delivery of its first narrowbody freighter on lease with commercial aviation company GA Telesis. The aircraft, a B737-800SF (registered MSN 28826) converted freighter, is the first plane to enter the airline’s fleet.
GA Telesis acquired the jet through its leasing, investment, financing & trading (LIFT) group, with the passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion done at Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) conversion center in Miami.

The company said this is the second B737-800SF to be leased out following the delivery of a similar freighter jet to Ethiopian Airlines in March 2021. GA Telesis said the LIFT Group has been successful with its expansion in the air cargo market, citing four additional firm orders for P2F conversions with AEI.
“We are ecstatic with the delivery of our first B737-800SF,” said Pentcho Pentchev, managing director at Compass Cargo Airlines. “The B737-800SF will allow us to offer our customers the most advanced narrow-body freighter technology with high fuel efficiency and increased capacities.”
