Kerry Logistics Network is joining forces with Malaysian cargo airline My Jet Xpress Airlines to offer air freight charter options within Asia with Macau International Airport as the main transit hub.
The two first introduced the service in March of this year to provide freight capacity from Macau to East Malaysia and Indonesia for one of Kerry’s ecommerce customers, where My Jet Express achieved on-time performance of 98 percent.
The cargo charter operator recently invested in two Boeing 737-800F worth RM40 million (around US$9.7 million) to complement its existing fleet of three Boeing 737-300Fs and one Boeing 737-400F.

My Jet Xpress and KLN plan to expand their partnership by introducing scheduled services from Kuala Lumpur and Shenzhen to destinations within Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
A transit hub was subsequently established in Macau for three reasons: its proximity to the customer’s distribution centre, its capability to allow carriage of products with batteries, and the efficiency of its customs clearance process. From five flights a month, this efficient, reliable, and cost-effective customised solution now provides seven to eight flights per week and is going to celebrate its 200th flight soon.
