Malaysian freighter operator Kargo Xpress has reason to celebrate as it expanded its network and commenced flight operations between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong on 21 February 2022.
Operating a B737-800BCF freighter with cargo capacity of 20 tonnes, the inaugural flight WW888 departed at 9PM from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) for Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The return flight WW889 from HKG arrived at KUL at 630AM the net day.
Kargo Xpress said it will be operating daily flights from KUL to HKG with plans to add another daily service from KUL to HKG via Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI).
With a fleet comprising a B737-400F and two B737-800BCF, it already operates nine frequencies weekly to Macau (MFM). The cargo carrier also started flying daily scheduled flights to Kuching and BKI on 15 February.
Kargo Xpress said bookings for cargo space can be made via the CHAMP Cargospot system. New destinations will be introduced with further capacity increases as the airline expands its fleet, it added.
