Spanish postal and parcel company Correos has launched two weekly flights on the Madrid-Hong Kong route this month, as the company looks to be a leading operator in end-to-end logistics solutions.
The new service, operating on Mondays and Fridays, will offer up to 50 tonnes of cargo capacity each way with the company’s Airbus A330, dubbed ‘Milana Bonita.’
Given the demand in parcel delivery thanks to e-commerce, Correos aims to become a benchmark in the America-Europe-Asia logistics hub and is looking to help local Spanish companies with export services to extend their global reach.
The regular scheduled flights are expected to complement the cargo charter flights announced by the company in March. It plans to grow its fleet with up to three new aircraft by the end of 2024.
