FedEx Express has upgraded its freight services for more shipments and shortened transit time in Asia Pacific, with a newly deployed ‘Purple Tail’ 767 freighter in its operations from Bangkok.
The global express provider marked 40 years of successful operations in Thailand and is expanding its shipping capacity on three routes starting 31 May. The new routes include Guangzhou to Hanoi, Hanoi to Bangkok and Bangkok to Osaka.
The integrator said the new outbound route from Bangkok to Osaka in Japan, its north Pacific regional hub, will help facilitate shipments on the trans-Pacific (TPAC) lanes.
The Boeing 767 freighter, which will fly four times a week, will provide another 360,000 lbs or over 160 tonnes of air cargo capacity over the existing volume.
In recent news, FedEx safely delivered 52 tonnes of critical medical aid for Ukraine using its Boeing 777 cargo aircraft, with a humanitarian relief flight on 26 June from the US to Poland, in coordination with nonprofit Direct Relief.
