Cargolux has launched an API together with long-time customer DB Schenker, which will provide a direct interface to generate tailored and immediate quotes to book their air freight.

The API interface allows DB Schenker to directly connect its operating system to Cargolux’s system to receive quotes and book their freight onboard a flight. The interface offers dynamic pricing options based on specific requirements such as weight, routing, and product type.

The move comes as both companies look to pursue digitalization and continue looking for innovative solutions in the transport supply chain through digital proposition and exchange. The airline’s offices in Austria, Spain and Portugal have been selected to work with DB Schenker’s air freight division.
