Aviation holding company AviaAM Leasing has purchased two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft for passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions.
The aircraft, bearing serial numbers 29769 and 28225, are the fifth and sixth of the aircraft type, respectively, to have been inducted to cargo conversion.
The two aircraft have already been inducted for freighter conversions at the Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (STAECO) facility at China’s Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA). The lessor expects the P2F conversion to be completed by Q2 2023.
Three Boeing 737-800 have been already delivered to the lessee and are operated by Bluebird Nordic, with a fourth converted freighter set to be delivered in late January. In October, AviaAM Leasing was announced as the launch customer of Mammoth Freighters’ 777-300ERMF programme.
