ITA Airways is increasing the visibility of its network capacity and services to freight forwarders with the integration of the CargoWise cargo management platform.

The Italian carrier has now joined WiseTech’s Global Carrier Connectivity Program, which will allow forwarders to plan, book, confirm and manage shipments with the carrier in real time through CargoWise.

WiseTech said the direct data integration via API will increase the carrier’s visibility and enable seamless interaction to its customer base, which includes 24 of the top 25 freight forwarders worldwide.

More than just ebooking, this will enable freight forwarders to access ITA Airways Cargo’s schedules, dynamic rates, capacity, and allotment bookings as well as the ability to easily change digital bookings, without leaving CargoWise.

“We want to be present with our offer where our customers are, and we encourage our customers to search ITA Airways Cargo offer online through the digital booking platforms we partner with,” said Emiliana Limosani, chief commercial officer at ITA Airways.
